Player Worth Observations:
Observed a sample of 60 special program customers for a large Reno casino to determine the types of games played, length of play, average bets, and theoretical trip worth. Special program customers included in the sample who went to competing casinos were also observed. Results were compiled and analyzed to determine player worth for the client casino.
Competition Analysis:
Studied the growth of casino style gaming in Reno's primary feeder access (California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia). The study included documentation of gaming capacity and revenue growth since 1992 for Indian casinos, card clubs, state lotteries, and British Columbia casinos.
Slot Payback Certification:
Provided on-going certification of 100% or higher theoretical payback for a video poker marketing program at a Mesquite, Nevada casino. Also, provided verification and certification of win percentages for slot machines and video poker machines for four Nevada casinos (two located on the Las Vegas Offstrip and two in Reno.).
Other Consulting Projects:
Served as a staff resource to assist in the preparation of a business plan for a new casino during the construction phase.
Conducted a pedestrian traffic study at a busy Las Vegas Strip intersection that included four pedestrian bridges and connecting casinos.
Provided expert testimony and analysis of ground leases and lease payments associated with casinos located in Downtown Reno.

Casino Gaming Market Studies
WGR's databases contain over 700,000 casino player counts collected between 1990 and today. Capacity information is collected and updated regularly on each casino's inventory capacity mix of slot machines and table games. The player count data allows WGR to track individual casinos, groups of casinos, and casino markets more closely and accurately than any other organization except the state gaming regulatory authorities.
WGR has developed a custom gravity modeling system designed to forecast casino revenues while taking into account the impacts that new or expanded competing casinos could have on the project. The model is customized to include the appropriate trade area and competitive casinos for each project.
